The inception of the Inter Denominational Christian Church (IDCC) in Doha, Qatar, dates back to 2002, initiated by an official decree from His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, who was then the Amir of The State of Qatar. The IDCC stands as a unifying force for twenty-eight distinct Indian expatriate Christian communities residing in Qatar. This collective of churches, representing various denominations, came together under the umbrella of IDCC with the common goal of establishing a shared place of worship.

Over time, these individual member churches integrated and coalesced, resulting in the formation of eleven consolidated congregations that convene regularly. Nestled on a substantial 12,861 square meter plot of land, the IDCC complex encompasses a 4,800 square meter building divided into seven distinct blocks. These blocks provide autonomous worship spaces for each of the member churches.

The construction of the impressive IDCC complex was a collaborative effort orchestrated by the member churches, made possible through the generous contributions and dedication of their respective community members.
